Do I need to be able to swim?
You must be able to swim 50m with a lifejacket to participate in any of our activities.
What's the minimum age?
For the aquapark, kayaking and paddleboarding the minimum age allowed is 6 years old with an adult acompanying them. From 8 years old you are allowed to go on the water without an adult.
For wakeboarding the minimum age is 8.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes dogs are welcome. They must be kept on a lead at all times as we like dogs but not everybody does!
What happens if we are running late due to traffic?
We are not responsible for your journey or traffic, which during weekends and bank holidays can be very slow.
Unfortunately we cannot get you onto the park if you miss your briefing session. We will try our best to help you, but we cannot be held responsible for your arrival, please remember there are NO REFUNDS.
A member of our group has to self isolate, what do we do?
Please contact us on 01255821915 as soon as possible.
Provided we are given more than 48hr notice, credit for the full amount of your booking will be issued to your account and your booking will be cancelled. You will be able to re-book at no extra cost once you are fit and well.
What are the admission criteria?
It is a requirement that you are able to swim 25m unaided. You are likely to go under water and should be confident in the water. You have to be able to pull yourself up out of the water, and it can be tiring.
There is a minimum height of 1.20m permitted on the Aqua Park.
Age and Parental Supervision
Children aged 6 and 7 years old can attend any session provided that an adult or guardian of 18+ is present on the Aqua Park with them, on a 1 adult to 3 children ratio.
Children aged 8 to 15 years old inclusive can attend any session but must have either a adult or guardian on shore, or on the Aqua Park with them for the duration of the session.
16 years old and over can attend any session without supervision.
Opening times and dates?
We are open from in the Holidays
10am until 7pm in the week (Monday - Friday)
10am until 6pm on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
After the School holidays timings may vary.
How long prior to my activity should I arrive?
We ask you to arrive 30-45 minutes before your activity starts, this will give you time to check in, get changed and have a brief. If you are running late then we will either try and get you on another session later on in the day (depending on availability) or get you on your session however you will lose time if you are late.
Can I wear glasses on the Aqua Park?
The simple answer is NO! We do not allow any glass objects on the Aqua Park for obvious reasons. If you need glasses to see then you will need to bring goggles with lenses in.
We do not allow any Jewellery in the Aqua park so please take it off before you come or leave it in a safe place before you enter the briefing area.
Own life jackets/ Buoyancy aids?
If you are bringing your own Life jackets/ Buoyancy Aids for when you bring your own kayaks or Stand up paddleboards they will need to be CE approved, also checked by reception.
We do not provide lockers at this moment in time. What we suggest is that you lock your valuables in your car. We can then look after your Keys behind reception safely.
We do not allow anyone to swim in the lake unless they are booked in for an activity. This includes further up the lake as well.
We have two car parks, one smaller one on site which does fill up fast in the morning. We do also have a larger overflow car park which is clearly signed along Mill Street.
Once entering the overflow please can we park with some consideration, we ask you to please park vertically facing the track running down the middle. If cars are parked poorly then they will be ticketed.
What is the refund policy?
Once a transaction is made, that sale is final and non-refundable. If you wish to cancel your booking you must do so 48 hours before your booking commences and credit will be placed on your Curve account to use on a later date.
There is a zero tolerance on bringing any food or drink on site as we do not allow picnicking. We provide food and drink from our on site cafe by the lake.
The only exception is baby food and drink.
Is there a weight limit?
Aqua Park: We have a limit of 130kg for the Aqua Park however if you are under this but cannot put one of our life jackets on then we are not going to allow you to go on.
Paddleboarding: 125kg, if you are under this but cannot put one of our life jackets on then we are not going to allow you to go on.
Kayaking: 120kg. if you are under this but cannot put one of our life jackets on then we are not going to allow you to go on.
Wakeboarding: 120kg if you are under this but cannot put one of our life jackets on then we are not going to allow you to go on.
What facilities do we have?
We have brand new facilities including toilets, changing rooms and if you have a baby then please ask reception for more facilities.
Toilets: These can only be accessed with stairs and we do not have any disabled toilets. There are public toilets close by which can be accessed with a wheelchair.
Changing rooms: these are outside changing rooms with doors and hocks, we advise people to arrive in what they are going to go in the water in. If you are wanting a wetsuit then please put these on outside the changing rooms so more people can use them.
We do not have a shower at this moment in time.
