Age
Children aged 6 or 7 can go in a double kayak or canoe with an adult but must be aged 8 and above to go on a paddleboard or single kayak.
Height & Weight
Participants must be 1.2m and under 120kg
Swim ability
All participants must be confident enough to jump in the water and swim across to the activity (roughly 25m)

These are hire-only sessions, so there won’t be an instructor in the water with you. Before you head out, we’ll give you a friendly on-land safety briefing covering safety and basic technique, then you’re free to enjoy the water at your own pace. Our team are always nearby if you need help.

You’ll need to be able to swim 25m on your own and feel confident jumping into the water. You may fall off your paddleboard or kayak and go under the water and will need to pull yourself back up. Our lifeguards are on hand for safety and may refuse entry if they think it’s not safe.

Ages 6 or 7 years can go in a double kayak or canoe with an adult (18+)
Ages 8–18: An adult must stay on site and supervise.
18+: No supervision needed!

You need to be at least 1.2m tall and weigh less that 120kg to take part.

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in and don’t mind getting wet – swimwear, sportswear or regular clothes are all fine. You can wear trainers, water shoes or go barefoot.
You’re welcome to bring your own wetsuit, or you can hire one from us for £5 per person. -
For safety reasons, no jewellery is allowed on paddleboards, kayaks or canoes, this includes earrings and facial piercings. Please remove it beforehand or leave it somewhere safe.

Check your booked session time and aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early. This gives you time to check in, complete waivers, and get ready. The safety briefing starts 10 minutes before your session — and we can’t extend your time if you’re late.

Yes you are welcome to bring your own paddleboard or kayak. we charge £6 for all day access to our lake. You are required to wear a CE approved lifejacket which are available to hire from us for £5 if you don’t have your own.
Parties & Groups
Planning a group day out? Paddleboarding and kayaking are brilliant for parties, schools and larger groups, and we can accommodate up to 50 people paddling at one time – making us perfect for big celebrations and school visits.
Whether it’s a kids’ party, school trip, team day out, stag or hen do, or just a get-together with friends, paddling is a fun, relaxed activity that everyone can enjoy at their own pace.
For an action-packed day, why not combine paddleboarding or kayaking with our Aqua Park? It’s a great way to mix calm water time with high-energy fun and make a full day of it.
Our watersports centre is also a fantastic setting for schools, offering a fun, safe and confidence-building environment outside the classroom.
With a range of activities on site – including the Aqua Park, paddleboarding, kayaking, wakeboarding and ringo rides – we’re happy to help you build the perfect group package.
